Pennridge pulls out a win over C. B. South

PERKASIE - Pennridge went to the back page of the playbook on Friday against Central Bucks South to ensure a must win game to sneak into the playoffs. It wasn't easy, but an interception with 30 seconds remaining gave the Rams a 35-28 over the Titans.

It wasn't the most effective the Rams' offense has been, but they found ways to get in the end zone and move the chains.

The Titans hung tough with the Rams thanks to the hands of Mike Doty. Doty made circus catches and his breakaway speed helped him grab two touchdowns and 151 yards.

Penalties constantly hurt the Titans and negated big plays and kept the Rams' offense on the field. The Titans committed 10 penalties for 130 yards.

The Rams' back page of the playbook saw a flee flicker executed to perfection for a 41-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Swartley to tie the game at 14-14 in the second quarter.

The Rams also recovered two onside kicks to keep the ball away from Doty and Titan's offense. With 30 seconds remaining quarterback Tom Johns looked in Doty's direction

one more time to even the score, but Zack Knepp stepped in front of the pass and picked it off to seal the Rams' big win.
